The final conference of the EU-funded LINEup project, “From Longitudinal Evidence to Educational Action”, will take place on January 28, 2027, at Campus Condorcet in Paris, hosted by the Institut national d’études démographiques (INED).
The event will bring together researchers, policymakers, school leaders, teachers and other stakeholders interested in understanding and addressing educational inequalities.
Over the past three years, LINEup has investigated how educational inequalities emerge and evolve over time, combining longitudinal evidence from across Europe with qualitative research conducted in schools in six countries. The final conference will present the project’s main findings and, above all, explore what they mean for research, policy and practice.
Through keynote speeches, expert discussions and three parallel workshops dedicated to policy, research and school practice, participants will reflect on how longitudinal evidence can help us better understand educational inequalities and how this knowledge can be translated into action.
The workshops will provide dedicated spaces to discuss how to strengthen longitudinal data infrastructures, advance the future research agenda on educational inequalities, and identify ways in which schools and practitioners can support more equitable educational experiences.
The conference will conclude by bringing the insights from the three workshops back into a collective discussion on the priorities and recommendations to take forward, marking the transition from longitudinal evidence to educational action.
