In the first phase of the project, the LINEup consortium carried out a systematic review of grey and academic literature on inequalities in education, focusing on studies with a longitudinal or repeated cross-sectional research design. Curious to know more?

Building on the systematic literature review, this report analyses and visualises over 100 longitudinal datasets on students’ learning outcomes across Europe. It provides key insights for researchers and policymakers on data availability, comparability, and potential for future use.

The study explores whether a harmonisation process - similar to those used in other domains like income and employment - can be applied to longitudinal data on education. Lessons Learned newsletter: every six months a more scientific and policy oriented newsletter will summarise major results from the research. The intended readership includes researchers, policymakers and civil servants from governments and international and national organizations.
