LINEup GOES TO DUBLIN: ECSR 2026 Annual conference

The LINEup project was also introduced in Dublin on 15-17 June 2026, at the ECSR 2026 Annual Conference, hosted by the prestigious Trinity College. The theme of the conference, “Inequality by Design? Social Divides in an Age of Uncertainty”, brought together over 300 scholars from all around the world to discuss inequalities and social transformation to understand how the institutions and structures of our societies contribute to inequalities in valued life domains such as education, employment, and health.

Within this international framework, the Mapping Report  were presented in the poster session, where the LINEup Education Data Explorer was displayed.  The Explorer is an online, open-access platform that contains metadata collected through a collective effort on longitudinal data in education, focusing on academic achievement and basic skills, educational trajectories, and contextual and equity-relevant information. The poster explored the features of the LINEup Explorer, showing how to navigate the interface and how to use filters for detecting datasets with specific characteristics, such as country, type of data, focus, accessibility, type of skills measured, variables included, and so on. The Explorer is intended for researchers, policymakers, educators, and analysts, and it allows to explore dataset infrastructure and contents and to find the right longitudinal data to investigate educational inequalities and long-term learning outcomes.

This important event allows to share the recent development of the Explorer with a wider community and to gather insights, suggestions and comments from expert scholars from all around Europe and beyond. Keep in touch for LINEup news and event!
