Umbria, 3–6 July 2025
This summer, LINEup will take part in SHU2025 – Social Hackathon Umbria, a four-day event combining digital creativity, civic engagement, and social innovation. Hosted in the heart of Umbria from 3 to 6 July 2025, SHU2025 will welcome over 300 participants from around the world to exchange ideas and co-design digital solutions addressing three key forms of diversity:
- BIO-diversity: promoting sustainability and ecological awareness
- NEURO-diversity: supporting inclusivity and mental health
- SOCIO-diversity: valuing human diversity and combating exclusion
As part of the official programme, LINEup will host an interactive stop motion workshop for teachers, students, and families – a creative and participatory space to reflect on a key dimension of socio- and neuro-diversity: educational inequality.
Through stop motion animation, participants will:
- Reflect on how inequalities arise, persist, and can be challenged in schools and communities
- Co-create short visual stories inspired by real-life educational experiences
- Transform ideas for change into accessible and engaging visual narratives
The workshop will foster awareness through a hands-on, inclusive format that bridges research with lived experience. By combining digital storytelling with community dialogue, participants will be encouraged to reimagine schools as more equitable, inclusive learning environments.
The videos produced will be shared through the project’s communication channels – amplifying the voices of teachers, students and families.
LINEup’s participation in SHU2025 reflects its commitment to engaging diverse audiences in understanding and addressing educational inequalities through interdisciplinary and creative approaches.
